Section 1-3-8 Holidays enumerated; personal leave days; state holidays observed by closing
of state offices; compensatory leave days. (a) Sunday, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Martin

Section 45-49-122.23 Political activities prohibited. (a) No person shall be appointed or promoted
to, or demoted or dismissed from, any position in the classified service, or in any way favored
or discriminated against with respect to employment in the classified service because of his

certificate of disability the employer is dissatisfied with the physician's judgment on disability,
the employer may require the employee to submit to a medical examination by a physician of
the employer's choice, the expense of which shall be paid by the employer. In such case that

Section 16-25-150 Participation in plan. (a) As governed by this subsection, there exists as
a part of this retirement system an optional account known as the Deferred Retirement Option
Plan, which may be cited as "DROP." The purpose of DROP is to allow, contractually,
in lieu of immediate withdrawal from service and receipt of a retirement allowance, continued
employment for a specific period of time, coupled with the deferral of receipt of a retirement
allowance until the end of the period of participation, at which time the member shall withdraw
