Section 9-16-125 Reclamation program. (a) The Department of Labor, State Programs Division, shall establish and maintain a state reclamation program for abandoned mines which complies with Title IV of Public Law 95-87. The state reclamation program plan shall generally identify the areas to be reclaimed, the purposes for which the reclamation is proposed, the relationship of the lands to be reclaimed and the proposed reclamation to surrounding areas, the specific criteria for ranking and identifying projects to be funded, and the legal authority and programmatic capability to perform such work in conformance with the provisions of the federal act. (b) The director shall annually submit to the secretary, an application for the support of the state program and implementation of specific reclamation projects. Section 11-54A-2 Definitions. The following words and phrases used in this chapter, and others evidently intended as the equivalent thereof, in the absence of clear implication herein otherwise, shall be given the following respective interpretations herein: (1) APPLICANT. Section 16-39-6 School board plans. During the fifth year of implementation of the incremental five-year plan referred to above, each school board shall submit a long-range plan for providing appropriate instruction and special services for exceptional children and shall submit said long-range plan to the State Board of Education for its review and approval or disapproval. Section 16-46-5 License for operation of schools; fees; financial stability. (a) No private postsecondary institution, except those enumerated in Section 16-46-3, shall operate within this state unless the private postsecondary institution first secures a license from the Department of Postsecondary Education, regardless of whether the private postsecondary institution enrolls Alabama students or has a physical presence within the State of Alabama.
