Section 16-13-211 Borrowing money in anticipation of warrants authorized; issuance of notes. Any board of education may borrow money in anticipation of the issuance of warrants for use for any of the purposes described in Section 16-13-70(a) or Section 16-13-90 and, in evidence of such borrowing, issue from time to time notes maturing not later than 18 months from the date of issuance and bearing such rate or rates of interest as the board of education issuing such notes may provide in the proceedings wherein the notes are authorized to be issued. The proceeds derived from the sale of any bonds issued pursuant to subsection (b) of Section 3 of Act 98-373 shall be deposited in the State Treasury and shall be carried in a separate fund therein for the account of the authority, which shall pay therefrom the expenses of issuance thereof.
