Section 45-41-141.18 Effect of special election. (a) If a majority of the qualified electors voting in a special election held under this part shall approve the authorization of (1) The levy of a financial charge within the district in which such special election was held, (2) An increase in the maximum rate at which such financial charge shall be authorized to be levied, (3) An extension of the period of time during which such financial charge shall be authorized to be levied, or (4) Both such an increase in the maximum rate of such financial charge and such an extension of such period of time during which such financial charge shall be authorized to be levied (whatever the case may be), (b) The commission may proceed to levy such financial charge, and such financial charge may be collected, in accordance with this part.
