Section 17-3-11 Registration of voters at colleges and universities. (a) The board of registrars in each county shall visit each college or university, whether public or private, having an enrollment of 500 or more, which is located therein, at least once during the school year for the purpose of registering voters, and shall remain there for one full working day, weekends and holidays excepted. They shall give at least 12 days' notice of the time and place where they will attend to register applicants for registration, by bills posted at three or more public places and by advertisement once a week for three consecutive weeks in a campus newspaper, if there is one published on the campus. Each college or university receiving state funds that is affected by the provisions of this section shall provide space and accommodations for the board of registrars on their campus. Section 45-45-82.03 Juvenile court Advisory Board and Drug Abuse Prevention Fund. (a) In all criminal and juvenile delinquency cases in the circuit and district courts of Madison County wherein the defendant or the juvenile is charged with a violation of the Alabama Uniform Controlled Substances Act the clerk of the respective court shall charge and collect a fee of ten dollars ($10) in addition to all other costs and charges now or hereafter provided. Section 45-49-91.21 Land use control fee. The Mobile County Commission shall levy upon owners of any real property located within the district which has elected to come under the jurisdiction of the board, a uniform land use control fee that shall be equal to 1/10 mill of the appraised value of the parcel as determined by the Mobile County Revenue Commissioner. However, in no case shall this fee be less than three dollars ($3) per parcel. Property exempt from fees and taxes under Act 41 and Act 91 are exempt from the land use control fee provided for under this section.
