Section 45-49-252 Definitions. The following words, phases, or terms as used in this
part, unless the context indicates otherwise, shall have the following meanings: (1) ABANDONED
PROPERTY. Wrecked or derelict property having no value other than nominal salvage value, if
any, which has been left abandoned and unprotected from the elements and shall include wrecked,
inoperative, or partially dismantled motor vehicles, trailers, boats, machinery, refrigerators,
washing machines, plumbing fixtures, and other similar articles which have no value other
than nominal salvage value, if any; and is in a condition violative of Alabama statutes. (2)

The State Board of Agriculture and Industries is authorized to fix and promulgate as the official
standards for this state, for any container for any agricultural product, the standard for
such product which may have been promulgated or announced therefor under the authority of

Section 23-1-42 Roads, etc., located on state institutions. (a) The roads and streets,
drives, and parking areas located on the campus of any state institution of higher learning,
the Alabama state hospitals, the Partlow State School and Hospital and the Alabama Agricultural
Center in the City of Montgomery shall be deemed a part of the state highway system and may

The State Budget Officer shall allocate to the State Board of Education, the Board of Trustees
of the Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind, the Board of Youth Services School District,
the Board of Directors of the Alabama School of Fine Arts, and the Board of Trustees of the
Alabama School of Mathematics and Science for disbursement to the employees thereof funds
based on the criteria established in this section. It is not the intent of this section

programs. (a) All powers, duties, responsibilities, and functions of, and all related records,
property, equipment of, and all rights, obligations of, and unexpended balances of appropriations
