Section 16-47-12 School of Mines of Alabama. The Department of Mining Engineering of the University
of Alabama is declared to be the "School of Mines" of the State of Alabama. Alabama's
share of such federal aid as may hereafter be provided by Congress for the promotion or development
of mines and mining and mining engineering in the several states through educational agencies
shall be put at the exclusive disposal of the University of Alabama to be utilized in connection

Section 41-16-72 Procurement of professional services. Any other provision of law notwithstanding,
the procurement of professional services by any agency, department, board, bureau, commission,
authority, public corporation, or instrumentality of the State of Alabama shall be conducted

Section 40-2B-2 Alabama Tax Tribunal. (a) Statement of Purpose. To increase public confidence
in the fairness of the state tax system, the state shall provide an independent agency with
tax expertise to resolve disputes between the Department of Revenue and taxpayers, prior to

Education, the Chancellor of the Department of Postsecondary Education, and the Alabama Commission
on Higher Education shall develop a plan for a high school fast track to college program that
offers qualified individuals an opportunity to earn a high school diploma while earning credits
