Section 22-13A-4 Establishment and promotion of program; duties of officer; strategies for
raising public awareness and educating consumers and professionals. (a) The State Department
of Health, hereinafter referred to as "the department," shall establish, promote,
and maintain an osteoporosis prevention and treatment education program in order to raise
public awareness, educate consumers, educate and train health professionals, teachers, and
human service providers, and for other purposes. (b) For purposes of administering this chapter,
the State Health Officer shall do all of the following: (1) Provide sufficient staff to implement
the Osteoporosis Prevention and Treatment Education Program. (2) Provide appropriate training

Section 16-6B-2 Core curriculum. Every Alabama student shall be given instruction in grades
kindergarten through twelve to prepare him or her to enter the world of work and/or to complete
course work at the postsecondary level. In addition to a comprehensive core curriculum of

Section 40-18-422 (Credit expires after 2025 tax year unless extended.) Tax credit for eligible
employers of apprentices. (a) For tax years beginning on or after January 1, 2017, through
the tax year beginning January 1, 2019, an Alabama income tax credit is allowed for eligible
employers that employ an apprentice for at least seven full months of the prior taxable year.
The credit shall equal up to one thousand dollars ($1,000) for each apprentice employed, not
to exceed five apprentices employed. The Department of Revenue, in consultation with the Workforce
Development Division of the Department of Commerce, shall establish a scale reflecting ranges
of amounts of money an employer has invested in an eligible apprentice and a corresponding
