Section 16-11-24 Annual report published. The city board of education shall publish annually
in the month of October in a newspaper published in said city, if there is a newspaper published
in said city, a full and complete statement of the receipts by source and disbursements by
function of the city for the 12 months' period ending September 30, in such form as is required
by the State Superintendent of Education at the same time it forwards said statement to the

the month of October, a statement of the outstanding indebtedness of the board of education

Section 16-13-147 Payment of teachers' salaries when due. It shall be the duty of county and
city boards of education to pay teachers' salaries promptly when due and, if funds on hand
are insufficient, to secure such current loans as are necessary to pay teachers' salaries
and other current expenses when due in accordance with the provisions of Section 16-13-145.
If any board of education fails to pay the salaries of its teachers in its employ for any
month within 10 days after such salaries are due, the county or city superintendent of education,

private schools, or private tutors, but not those in church schools, in this state offering
instruction to pupils within the compulsory attendance ages, shall make and furnish all reports

a quadrennial school census of the school children in the city between the ages of six and

Section 16-4-15 Census for schools. (a) The State Superintendent of Education shall prepare,
or cause to be prepared, and submit for approval and adoption by the State Board of Education
rules and regulations for the taking of a decennial school census of all children in the state
between six and 16 years of age, also the forms and blanks to be employed in taking such census
