Section 45-41-141.12 Special elections regarding financial charges. (a) The commission may
at any time and from time to time call a special election to be held in any district, for
the purpose of determining whether a financial charge shall be authorized to be levied and
collected within such district, whether the rate (or maximum rate) of any financial charge
then authorized to be levied in a district shall be authorized to be increased, or whether
the period of time (or maximum period of time) during which any such financial charge is then
authorized to be levied shall be extended (as the case may be). The commission shall cause
notice of such election to be given by publication, once a week for three successive weeks,
in a newspaper published and having general circulation in the county, the first publication

of any special election authorized to be held under and pursuant to this part shall be appointed,

officers and employees. (a) The governing body of any county soil and water conservation district
may, by resolution legally adopted to conform to rules prescribed by the State Employees'
Insurance Board, elect to have its officers and employees who are full-time employees working

Section 16-13-37 Use of county sales and use tax funds for general educational purposes. (a)
When approved at a referendum election held for such purposes in the manner hereinafter prescribed,
any local board of education may divert any earmarked revenue derived by it from county sales
and use taxes heretofore levied and imposed by local laws enacted by the Legislature of Alabama
which exclusively earmarked such county sales and use taxes for capital outlay, construction
