Section 38-13-2 Definitions. When used in this chapter, the following words shall have the following meanings: (1) ADULT. An individual 19 years of age and older. (2) ADULT CARE FACILITY. A person or entity holding a Department of Human Resources license or approval or certification to provide care, including foster care, for adults. (3) APPLICANT. A person or entity who submits an application for license as a child care or adult care facility to the Department of Human Resources or a child placing agency, or an application for employment or for a volunteer position to a Department of Human Resources licensed child care or adult care facility. With regard to child care and adult care facilities in a home setting, the term includes an adult household member whose residence is in the home. Section 15-20A-19 Adult sex offender - Sexually violent predator. (a) The state, upon conviction and prior to sentencing, may petition the sentencing court to enter an order declaring a person convicted in this state of a sexually violent or predatory offense as a sexually violent predator. (b) At sentencing, a court may declare a person to be a sexually violent predator. For the purposes of this section, a person is a sexually violent predator if either of the following applies: (1) The person is a repeat sexually violent offender. (2) The person commits a sexually violent offense and is likely to engage in one or more sexually violent offenses in the future. Section 40-17-350 Transportation of motor fuel; inspections. (a) Each person operating a refinery or terminal in Alabama shall prepare and provide to the driver of every highway vehicle receiving motor fuel at the facility a shipping document setting out on its face the destination state as represented to the terminal operator by the shipper or the shipper's agent. Failure to comply with this subsection may result in a department imposed penalty of not less than five hundred dollars ($500) nor more than one thousand dollars ($1,000), to be multiplied by the sum of the current violation plus prior violations of this subsection. (b) Every person transporting motor fuel in Alabama in a highway vehicle other than in its supply tank shall carry on board a shipping document issued by the facility where the motor fuel was obtained. (b)(1) The Legislature finds and declares that: a.
