Section 38-9-6 Protective placement or other protective services. (a) An interested person
may petition the court to order protective placement or other protective services for an adult
in need of protective services. No protective placement or other protective services may be
ordered unless there is a determination by the court that the person is unable to provide
for his or her own protection from abuse, neglect, exploitation, sexual abuse, or emotional
abuse. Upon a petition, setting forth the facts and name, age, sex, and residence of the person,
the court of the circuit in which the person resides shall appoint a day, not more than 30
days from the filing of the petition, for the hearing on the petition. If, on the hearing
of a petition, the person is not represented by counsel, the court shall appoint a guardian

Section 12-15-212 Conduct of delinquency and child in need of supervision hearings. (a) If
the allegations are denied, the juvenile court shall proceed to hear evidence on the petition.
If the juvenile court finds on proof beyond a reasonable doubt, based upon competent, material,
and relevant evidence, that the child committed the acts by reason of which the child is alleged
to be delinquent or in need of supervision, the juvenile court shall record its findings and

chapter, the board shall, upon direction of a majority of the board, in the name of the State
of Alabama, apply in any circuit court of competent jurisdiction for an order enjoining such

Section 12-15-211 Suspension of proceedings and continuation of cases under terms and conditions
agreed to by parties. (a) The juvenile court may suspend delinquency or child in need of supervision
proceedings pursuant to a consent decree. The terms and conditions of the consent decree shall

Section 30-5-5 Standing to file sworn petition for protection order; disclosure of information;
costs and fees. (a) The following persons have standing to file a sworn petition for a protection
order under this chapter as a plaintiff: (1) A person who is at least 18 years old or is otherwise

Section 34-23-13 Penalty for practicing pharmacy without a license; compounding or dispensing
prescriptions by unauthorized persons; violations of chapter or rules and regulations of board.
Any person who shall practice pharmacy in this state without having first obtained from the
board a license, or who permits prescriptions to be compounded and/or dispensed by unauthorized

Section 13A-5-53.1 Appeals of capital punishment. (a) Rule 32.2(c) of the Alabama Rules of
Criminal Procedure shall not apply to cases in which a criminal defendant is convicted of
capital murder and sentenced to death, and files a petition for post-conviction relief under
the grounds specified in Rule 32.1(a), (e), or (f) of the Alabama Rules of Criminal Procedure.
