Section 15-23-63 Prosecuting attorney required to notify victim of charges and proceedings;
request for notice. (a) Upon written request of the victim, the prosecuting attorney shall
notify the victim of all charges filed against the defendant, criminal proceedings, except
initial appearances, as soon as practicable, including any changes that may occur. (b) The
victim shall provide to and maintain with the office of the prosecuting attorney a request
for notice on a form provided by the agency. The form shall include the telephone number and
address of the victim. If the victim fails to keep this information current, his or her request
for notice shall be considered withdrawn and void. Except as otherwise provided, all notices
provided to a victim pursuant to this article shall be on forms developed and produced for

Section 15-20A-24 Adult sex offender - Relief from registration and notification. (a) At disposition,
sentencing, upon completion of probation, or upon completion of a term of registration ordered
by the sentencing court, a sex offender may petition the court for relief from the requirements
of this chapter resulting from any of the following offenses, provided that he or she meets

Section 15-20A-25 Adult sex offender - Relief from employment restriction. (a) A sex offender
may petition at sentencing, or if after sentencing, a sex offender may file a petition in
the civil division of the circuit court in the county where the sex offender seeks to accept
or maintain employment for relief from the employment restrictions pursuant to subsection
(b) of Section 15-20A-13. A sex offender adjudicated or convicted of any of the following
sex offenses shall not be entitled to relief under this section: (1) Rape in the first degree,

Section 40-27-1 Compact adopted; terms. The following Multistate Tax Compact is hereby approved,
adopted and enacted into law by the State of Alabama: Multistate Tax Compact Article I. Purposes.
The purposes of this compact are to: 1. Facilitate proper determination of state and local

post-conviction review, etc. The victim has the right to the following information: (1) As
soon as practicable, after the date of sentencing, the office of the prosecuting attorney

Section 15-20A-23 Adult sex offender - Relief from residency restriction. (a) A sex offender
required to register under this chapter may petition the court for relief from the residency
restriction pursuant to subsection (a) of Section 15-20A-11 during the time a sex offender
is terminally ill or permanently immobile, or the sex offender has a debilitating medical
condition requiring substantial care or supervision or requires placement in a residential

Section 15-20A-34 Juvenile sex offender - Relief from lifetime registration requirements. (a)
A juvenile sex offender subject to lifetime registration pursuant to Section 15-20A-28 may
file a petition requesting the sentencing juvenile court to enter an order relieving the juvenile
sex offender of the requirements pursuant to this chapter 25 years after the juvenile sex
offender is released from the custody of the Department of Youth Services or sentenced, if

Section 15-9-81 Adoption and text of agreement on detainers. The agreement on detainers is
hereby enacted into law and entered into by the State of Alabama with any and all jurisdictions
legally joining therein, in the form substantially as follows: AGREEMENT ON DETAINERS The
contracting states solemnly agree that: Article I. The party states find that charges outstanding
against a prisoner, detainers based on untried indictments, informations or complaints and

Section 12-19-311 Bail bond fees. (a)(1) In addition to all other charges, costs, taxes, or
fees levied by law on bail bonds, additional fees as detailed in paragraph a. and paragraph
b. shall be imposed on every bail bond in all courts of this state. The fee shall not be assessed
in traffic cases, except for those serious traffic offenses enumerated in Title 32, Chapter
5A, Article 9. Where multiple charges arise out of the same incident, the bond fee pursuant
to this section shall only be assessed on one charge. For the purposes of this section, the
term same incident shall be defined as the same date, location, and proximate time. Where
the charge is negotiating a worthless negotiable instrument, the fee shall not be assessed
