Section 12-18-52 Contributions to retirement fund by judges. After January 16, 1977, each district judge who comes under the provisions of Article 1 of this chapter by election or by operation of law shall contribute to the Judicial Retirement Fund annually, payable in equal monthly installments, four and one-half percent of his annual compensation paid by the State of Alabama; provided, that after February 1, 1977, the rate of contribution to be paid by such judge shall be six percent of his salary derived from the State of Alabama, but such increased rate of contribution shall not be effective until February 1, 1977. For all pay dates beginning on or after October 1, 2011, the contribution to be paid by the judges shall be eight and one-quarter percent (8.25%) of their salary. Section 22-35-4 Alabama Underground and Aboveground Storage Tank Trust Fund. There is hereby created the Alabama Underground and Aboveground Storage Tank Trust Fund, hereinafter referred to as the "fund," to be administered by the Secretary-Treasurer of the Retirement Systems of Alabama. The fund shall be used by the department as a revolving fund for carrying out the purposes of this chapter. The fund is not an insurance company and the laws relating to the conduct of business in this state by an insurance company do not apply to the fund. (a) The Director of ADECA may establish and administer the research and development enhancement grant program for the purpose of encouraging new and continuing efforts to conduct new or expanded research and development activities within Alabama. By September 4, 2019, the director shall adopt rules and policies to administer the program and begin to accept applications for grants, and shall adopt such rules as may be necessary to meet the future needs of the grant program. The executive director of the board shall receive and account for all moneys derived from the operation of this chapter.
