Section 15-20A-32 Juvenile sex offender - Requirements upon entering state. (a) A juvenile
sex offender or youthful offender sex offender, or equivalent thereto, who is not currently
a resident of this state, shall immediately appear in person and register all required registration
information upon establishing a residence, accepting employment or a volunteer position, or
beginning school attendance in this state with local law enforcement in each county where
the juvenile sex offender or youthful offender sex offender resides or intends to reside,
accepts employment or a volunteer position, or begins school attendance. (b) Within 30 days
of initial registration, the juvenile sex offender or youthful offender sex offender shall
provide each registering agency with a certified copy of his or her sex offense adjudication;

Section 15-20A-4 Definitions. For purposes of this chapter, the following words shall
have the following meanings: (1) ADULT SEX OFFENDER. A person convicted of a sex offense.
(2) CHILD. A person who has not attained the age of 12. (3) CHILDCARE FACILITY. A licensed
child daycare center, a licensed childcare facility, or any other childcare service that is
exempt from licensing pursuant to Section 38-7-3, if it is sufficiently conspicuous
that a reasonable person should know or recognize its location or its address has been provided

Section 15-20A-42 Collection and dissemination of information by Alabama State Law Enforcement
Agency. (a) Any jurisdiction or agency responsible for registering a sex offender shall immediately
forward all required registration information and any changes to the required registration
information received to the Alabama State Law Enforcement Agency in a manner determined by

Section 15-20A-24 Adult sex offender - Relief from registration and notification. (a)
At disposition, sentencing, upon completion of probation, or upon completion of a term of
registration ordered by the sentencing court, a sex offender may petition the court for relief
from the requirements of this chapter resulting from any of the following offenses, provided

Section 12-23A-5 Drug tests; screening; confidentiality of information; criteria for
participation. (a) Any drug offender subject to this chapter who posts bail shall submit to
random observed drug tests as a condition of pretrial release. (b) A drug offender shall be
required to undergo a screening under any of the following conditions: (1) The results of
a drug test are positive. (2) The drug offender requests a screening. (3) The drug offender
admits to substance use or abuse within the year preceding the arrest for the present charge.

Section 15-20A-37 Failure to register; absconding. (a) When a sex offender declares,
and the county is notified that a sex offender intends to reside, maintain employment or a
volunteer position, or attend school in the county and the sex offender fails to appear for
registration, the county that received the notice shall immediately inform the sheriff of

Section 15-20A-34 Juvenile sex offender - Relief from lifetime registration requirements.
(a) A juvenile sex offender subject to lifetime registration pursuant to Section 15-20A-28
may file a petition requesting the sentencing juvenile court to enter an order relieving the
