Section 45-48-70.19 Purchasing. (a) No warrant shall be issued or check drawn on the county treasury or county depository by any person except the chair of the commission, or such other officers as may be designated by the commission unless otherwise provided by law; and officers who are authorized to pay claims which have not been first approved by the commission, shall issue orders for warrants or checks which shall be presented to the officer so authorized to issue warrants payable out of the county treasury or county depository. Section 12-17-226.8 Fees. (a) An offender may be assessed an administration fee when he or she is approved for a pretrial diversion program established under this division. The amount of the fee for participation in the program shall be in addition to any court costs, assessments for crime victim's compensation fund, Department of Forensic Sciences assessments, drug, alcohol, or anger management treatments required by law, restitution, or costs of supervision or treatment. A schedule of payments for any of these fees may be established by the district attorney. (b) The amount of the administration fee shall be determined by the district attorney. Any person violating this subpart or rules or regulations of the board of revenue, county commission, or like governing body of such counties, adopted hereunder shall on the first conviction be fined not less than one hundred dollars ($100); and on the second conviction shall be fined not less than two hundred dollars ($200); and on the third or any subsequent conviction the fine shall not be less than five hundred dollars ($500) and as additional punishment the court may impose a hard labor sentence not to exceed six months.
