Section 12-15-133 Filing and inspection of records. (a) The following records, reports, and information acquired or generated in juvenile courts concerning children shall be confidential and shall not be released to any person, department, agency, or entity, except as provided elsewhere in this section: (1) Juvenile legal files (including formal documents as petitions, notices, motions, legal memoranda, orders, and decrees). (2) Social records, including but not limited to: a. Records of juvenile probation officers. b. Records of the Department of Human Resources. c. Records of the Department of Youth Services. d. Section 15-20A-20 Adult sex offender - Electronic monitoring. (a) The Alabama State Law Enforcement Agency shall implement a system of active and passive electronic monitoring that identifies the location of a monitored person and that can produce upon request reports or records of the person's presence near or within a crime scene or prohibited area, the person's departure from specified geographic limitations, or curfew violations by the offender. Section 12-21-147 Use of registered therapy dog in certain legal proceedings. (a) For purposes of this section, the following terms shall have the following meanings: (1) ACTIVE MEMBER. Therapy dog teams who have had recorded visits at facilities including hospitals, nursing homes, libraries, and extended care facilities in the past 18 months. (2) REGISTERED HANDLER. A volunteer registered by the court system as a therapy dog handler who has not been convicted of sexual, animal, or domestic abuse or any felony, who has been registered by a qualifying therapy dog organization, and has taken an oath of confidentiality. (a) A death sentence shall be executed by lethal injection, unless the person sentenced to death affirmatively elects to be executed by electrocution or nitrogen hypoxia.
