Section 8-20-4 Unfair and deceptive trade practices. Notwithstanding the terms, provisions, or conditions of any dealer agreement or franchise or the terms or provisions of any waiver, prior to the termination, cancellation, or nonrenewal of any dealer agreement or franchise, the following acts or conduct shall constitute unfair and deceptive trade practices: (1) For any manufacturer, factory branch, factory representative, distributor, or wholesaler, distributor branch, or distributor representative to coerce or attempt to coerce any motor vehicle dealer to do any of the following: a. Section 45-29-231.20 Inmate work release program. (a) This section shall apply to Fayette County. (b) The following terms shall have the following meanings: (1) BOARD. The Sheriff of Fayette County in consultation with the Chief Deputy of the Fayette County Sheriff's Department. (2) INMATE. Any person convicted of a crime and sentenced to the county jail. (c) The employer of an inmate involved in work release shall pay the inmate's wages directly to the board. The board may adopt regulations concerning the disbursement of any earnings of the inmates involved in the work release program.
