Section 14-6A-32 Board of directors. (a) A regional jail authority shall be governed by a board of directors composed of the following: (1) Two members appointed by the municipal council of the most populous municipality, one of whom may be a member of the municipal council. (2) One member from each of the remaining municipalities appointed by the municipal council of each respective municipality, which board member may be a member of the municipal council. (3) The mayor of each municipality. (b) Except with regard to the mayors, the members of the board of directors of the authority shall serve at the pleasure of the municipal council appointing them. Section 11-50A-6 Board of directors; election committee; meetings; officers; compensation; recordkeeping. (a) The board of directors of the authority shall be elected by the duly designated representatives of the municipalities which are authorized and directed to designate a member of the election committee as hereinafter provided in this section.
