Section 45-25-101 Election; term; compensation; qualifications; powers and duties; vacancy. (a) A county Superintendent of Education for DeKalb County, Alabama, shall be elected by the qualified electors of DeKalb County, Alabama, at the next general election who shall hold office until his or her successor is elected and qualified as hereinafter provided.
