Section 9-12-119 Issuance of licenses - Fees of issuing authorities. Judges of probate and other persons authorized and designated to issue licenses shall charge for each license issued under the provisions of this article $1.00 in addition to the prescribed cost for each license issued, which amount shall cover services required by the provisions of this article, and shall remit the balance to the Commissioner of Conservation and Natural Resources to the credit of the Marine Resources Fund on the first of each month. (a) It shall be the duty of each wholesale dealer or jobber who sells, stores, or delivers cigarettes to retail sellers in this county to affix to each package of cigarettes sold or delivered in the county a stamp or stamps in the proper amounts as set forth in Section 45-27-247.02. If any licensee shall voluntarily relinquish personal supervision, management, and control of any billiard room, he or she shall surrender his or her license to the probate judge who may issue a new license to some other person, firm, or corporation to continue the business, under the provisions of this chapter, in which event credit shall be given for the unused portion of the surrendered license.
