Section 14-4-11 Superintendent of Public Works - Appointment. Should the county commission
determine to employ persons sentenced to hard labor for the county, or any part of them, in
work on the public roads, public bridges or other public works of the county, it may appoint
a Superintendent of Public Works, whose term of office shall expire when his successor is
qualified and who shall receive for his services such compensation as shall be fixed by the
