Section 37-8-113 Failure of railroad superintendent to instruct engineers and conductors regarding blowing horn, whistle, etc. Any superintendent of a railroad who fails to instruct the engineers and conductors thereof as to the provisions of this title in regard to blowing the horn or whistle, ringing the bell and stopping and handling the train, and order them to comply therewith, must, on conviction, be fined not less than $1,000.00, and may be imprisoned in the county jail, or sentenced to hard labor for the county, for not more than 12 months, at the discretion of the jury.
