Section 14-3-13 Officers and guards - Oath of office. Every officer and guard shall, before
entering on the duties of his office, take and subscribe before some officer authorized to
administer oaths, the following oath: "I, _____, do solemnly swear (or affirm, as the
case may be) that I will support the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution
of the State of Alabama, so long as I remain a citizen thereof; that I will faithfully execute
and discharge all the duties required of me as _____ (designating the office), and observe
all the rules and regulations prescribed for the government of convicts, so far as concerns

Section 40-2B-2 Alabama Tax Tribunal. (a) Statement of Purpose. To increase public confidence
in the fairness of the state tax system, the state shall provide an independent agency with
tax expertise to resolve disputes between the Department of Revenue and taxpayers, prior to
requiring the payment of the amounts in issue or the posting of a bond, but after the taxpayer
has had a full opportunity to attempt settlement with the Department of Revenue based, among
