Section 27-7-5.2 Licenses - Limited license for travel insurance producers. (a) As used in this section, the following terms shall have the following meanings: (1) OFFER AND DISSEMINATE. Provide general information, including a description of the coverage and price, as well as processing the application, collecting premiums, and performing other non-licensable activities permitted by the state. (2) TRAVEL INSURANCE. a. Insurance coverage for personal risks incident to planned travel, including, but not limited to: 1. Interruption or cancellation of trip or event. 2. Loss of baggage or personal effects. 3. Damages to accommodations or rental vehicles. 4. Sickness, accident, disability, or death occurring during travel. b. (a) The commissioner shall provide by regulation for the issuance of an annual identification marker for every Alabama IFTA-based carriers' qualified vehicles and the qualified vehicles from non-IFTA-member jurisdictions, as defined in Article 9 of Chapter 17 of this title, for a fee based on administrative costs of administering the agreements pursuant to Article 9 of Chapter 17 of this title. Section 33-5-15 Certificates of registration and numbers generally - Foreign vessels; change of ownership. (a) Any vessel already covered by a number in full force and effect which has been awarded to it pursuant to the operative federal law or federally approved numbering system of another state may be operated on the waters of this state for a period of 90 consecutive days without being licensed under the provisions of this article.
