Section 4-3-11 Powers of authority generally. The authority shall have the following
powers, together with all powers incidental thereto or necessary to the discharge thereof
in corporate form: (1) To have succession by its corporate name for the duration of time (which
may be in perpetuity) specified in its certificate of incorporation; (2) To sue and be sued
in its own name in civil suits and actions, excepting actions in tort against the authority;
(3) To adopt and make use of a corporate seal and to alter the same at pleasure; (4) To adopt

Section 37-6-3 Enumerated powers. A cooperative shall have the power: (1) To sue and

Section 41-10-44.2 Additional definitions. In addition to the definitions contained
in Sections 41-10-20 and 41-10-36, the following terms shall have the following meanings,
respectively, when used in this Article 2A unless the context clearly requires otherwise:

Section 11-97-2 Definitions. The following words and phrases used in this chapter, and

Section 45-37-170.02 Removal or demolition of unsafe structures. (a) The County Commission
of Jefferson County shall have authority, after notice as provided herein, to move or demolish
buildings and structures, or parts of buildings and structures, party walls, and foundations
when the same are found by the county commission to be unsafe to the extent of being a public
nuisance from any cause. (b) The term appropriate county official as used in this section
shall mean any county building official or deputy and any other county official or county

Section 8-6-2 Definitions. When used in this article, unless the context otherwise requires,
the following terms shall have the meanings respectively ascribed to them by this section:
