Section 13A-9-80 Definitions. The following words and phrases used in this article shall
have the following meanings unless a different meaning is required by the context: (1) CHARITABLE
ORGANIZATION. A person or nonprofit corporation who is or holds himself or herself out to
be established for a benevolent, educational, philanthropic, humane, scientific, artistic,
patriotic, social welfare or advocacy, public health, environmental, conservation, civic,
or other eleemosynary purpose, or a person who employs a charitable appeal as the basis for
any solicitation or appeal that suggests, directly or indirectly, that the solicitation is
for a charitable purpose. Charitable organization includes a person, chapter, branch, area

Section 36-25-1 Definitions. Whenever used in this chapter, the following words and
terms shall have the following meanings: (1) BUSINESS. Any corporation, partnership, proprietorship,

Section 17-5-7 Use of excess moneys received; solicitation, etc., of contributions.
(a) Except as provided in subsection (d) and in Section 17-5-7.1, a candidate, public
official, or treasurer of a principal campaign committee as defined in this chapter, may only
use campaign contributions, and any proceeds from investing the contributions that are in
excess of any amount necessary to defray expenditures of the candidate, public official, or
principal campaign committee, for the following purposes: (1) Necessary and ordinary expenditures
of the campaign. (2) Expenditures that are reasonably related to performing the duties of

Section 28-3A-6 Manufacturer licensing and requirements; tastings or samplings; charitable
event donations. (a) Upon applicant's compliance with this chapter and the rules adopted under
this chapter, the board shall issue to applicant a manufacturer license which shall authorize
the licensee to manufacture or otherwise distill, produce, ferment, brew, bottle, rectify,
or compound alcoholic beverages within this state for sale or distribution within this state.

Section 34-4-27 Privilege licenses. Each auctioneer shall annually pay one state license
in an amount not to exceed two hundred fifty dollars ($250). Each auctioneer shall also annually
pay a county license of twenty-five dollars ($25) in each county where he or she sells by
auction. No privilege license shall be required for any apprentice auctioneer when he or she
is listed as the principal auctioneer. No license shall be required for any auctioneer who
conducts an auction, without compensation for himself or herself, where all proceeds from

Section 17-5-8 Reports of contributions and expenditures by candidates, committees,
and officials; filing; procedure. (a) The treasurer, designated filing agent, or candidate,

Section 32-5A-191 (Effective until July 1, 2023) Driving while under influence of alcohol,
controlled substances, etc. (a) A person shall not drive or be in actual physical control
of any vehicle while: (1) There is 0.08 percent or more by weight of alcohol in his or her
blood; (2) Under the influence of alcohol; (3) Under the influence of a controlled substance
to a degree which renders him or her incapable of safely driving; (4) Under the combined influence
of alcohol and a controlled substance to a degree which renders him or her incapable of safely
driving; or (5) Under the influence of any substance which impairs the mental or physical
faculties of such person to a degree which renders him or her incapable of safely driving.
