Section 10A-30-2.04 Voluntary termination of close corporation status by amendment of certificate
of formation; vote required; applicable to corporations formed as close corporations or electing
close corporation status prior to January 1, 1995. (a) A corporation may voluntarily terminate
its status as a close corporation and cease to be subject to this article by amending its
certificate of formation to delete therefrom the additional provisions required or permitted
by Section 10A-30-2.02 to be stated in the certificate of formation of close corporations
except such provisions as are permitted by the Alabama Business Corporation Law which the
corporation chooses to retain. Any such amendment shall be adopted and shall become effective
in accordance with the Alabama Business Corporation Law, except that it must be approved by

Section 34-13-70 License required; filing of application; fee; criminal history background
check. (a) No person shall engage in, or attempt to engage in, the practice or profession
or business of a funeral director unless licensed to do so by the board. The board may issue
licenses to funeral directors. (b) Any person desiring to engage in the business, profession,
or practice of funeral director shall make application to the board and shall accompany his
or her application by a fee to be established by the board, not to exceed five hundred dollars
($500). (c) Commencing on October 1, 2017, in addition to the requirements of subsection (b),

Section 45-37-244.01 Automobile rental tax. (a) In Jefferson County, in addition to all other
taxes imposed by law, there is hereby levied an additional privilege or license tax, in the
amount hereinafter prescribed against any person, organization, or other entity engaging or
continuing in the county in the business of leasing or renting any passenger automotive vehicle,
the duration of the lease being not more than one year. The amount of the taxes levied by
this section shall be equal to three percent of the gross proceeds derived by the lessor from

a presumption of dishonor and of any notice of dishonor stated: (1) A document regular in
