Section 32-1-1.1 Definitions. The following words and phrases when used in this title, for the purpose of this title, shall have meanings respectively ascribed to them in this section, except when the context otherwise requires: (1) ALLEY. A street or highway intended to provide access to the rear or side of lots or buildings in urban districts and not intended for the purpose of through vehicular traffic. (2) ARTERIAL STREET. Any United States or state numbered route, controlled-access highway, or other major radial or circumferential street or highway designated by local authorities within their respective jurisdictions as part of a major arterial system of streets or highways. (3) AUTHORIZED EMERGENCY VEHICLE. Such fire department vehicles, police vehicles, and ambulances as are publicly owned, and such other publicly or privately owned vehicles as are designated by the Secretary of the Alabama State Law Enforcement Agency or the chief of police of an incorporated city. Section 34-1-7 Practice privilege for nonresident certified public accountants. (a) Subject to subsection (b), a person who is licensed as a certified public accountant in another state whose principal place of business is not in this state shall have all the privileges of a certified public accountant in this state without the need to obtain a certificate or permit under this chapter or to notify or register with the board and may offer or render professional services in this state, whether in person or by mail, telephone, or electronic means, without any notice, fee, or other submission under this chapter. Section 34-29-61 Definitions. For the purposes of this article, the following terms shall have the following meanings ascribed by this section: (1) ACCREDITED SCHOOL OF VETERINARY MEDICINE. Section 8-15-34 Satisfaction of owner's lien. An owner's lien as provided for a claim which has become due may be satisfied as follows: (1) No enforcement action shall be taken by the owner until the occupant has been in default continuously for a period of 30 days. (2) Prior to taking enforcement action pursuant to this section, the owner shall determine whether a financing statement has been filed in accordance with Title 7 concerning the property to be sold or otherwise disposed of, with the Secretary of State, in the county where the self-service storage facility is located and in the county of the occupant's last known address.
