Section 22-50-90 Definitions. (a) When used in this article, the following words and terms
shall have the following meanings: (1) CRIMINAL HISTORY BACKGROUND INFORMATION. Any information
collected and stored in the criminal record repository of the Federal Bureau of Investigation
(FBI) reflecting the result of an arrest, detention, or initiation of a criminal proceeding
by criminal justice agencies, including, but not limited to, arrest record information, fingerprint
cards, correctional induction and release information, identifiable descriptions, and notations
of arrests, detention, indictments, or other formal charges. The term shall not include analytical
records or investigative reports that contain criminal intelligence information or criminal
investigation information. (2) DIRECT CARE PROVIDER. A psychiatrist, medical doctor, psychologist,
social worker, community service specialist, therapist, nurse, mental health worker, foster

Section 40-27-1 Compact adopted; terms. The following Multistate Tax Compact is hereby approved,
adopted and enacted into law by the State of Alabama: Multistate Tax Compact Article I. Purposes.
The purposes of this compact are to: 1. Facilitate proper determination of state and local
tax liability of multistate taxpayers, including the equitable apportionment of tax bases
and settlement of apportionment disputes. 2. Promote uniformity or compatibility in significant

Section 25-4-10 Employment. (a) Subject to other provisions of this chapter, "employment"
means: (1) Any service performed prior to January 1, 1978, which was employment as defined
in this section prior to such date and, subject to the other provisions of this section, services

Section 12-25-32 Definitions. For the purposes of this article, the following terms have the
following meanings: (1) COMMISSION. The Alabama Sentencing Commission, established as a state
agency under the Supreme Court by this chapter. (2) CONTINUUM OF PUNISHMENTS. An array of
punishment options, from probation to incarceration, graduated in restrictiveness according
to the degree of supervision of the offender including, but not limited to, all of the following:
a. Active Incarceration. A sentence, other than an intermediate punishment or unsupervised

Section 31-13-15 Employment of unauthorized aliens prohibited. (a) No business entity, employer,
or public employer shall knowingly employ, hire for employment, or continue to employ an unauthorized
alien to perform work within the State of Alabama. Knowingly employ, hire for employment,
or continue to employ an unauthorized alien means the actions described in 8 U.S.C. ยง 1324a.
(b) Effective April 1, 2012, every business entity or employer in this state shall enroll
