Section 13A-6-2 Murder. (a) A person commits the crime of murder if he or she does any of the
following: (1) With intent to cause the death of another person, he or she causes the death
of that person or of another person. (2) Under circumstances manifesting extreme indifference
to human life, he or she recklessly engages in conduct which creates a grave risk of death
to a person other than himself or herself, and thereby causes the death of another person.
(3) He or she commits or attempts to commit arson in the first degree, burglary in the first
or second degree, escape in the first degree, kidnapping in the first degree, rape in the
first degree, robbery in any degree, sodomy in the first degree, aggravated child abuse under

Section 15-23-41 Definitions. As used in this article, unless a contrary meaning is clearly
intended from the context in which the term appears, the following terms have the respective
meanings hereinafter set forth and indicated: (1) CONFIDENTIAL COMMUNICATION. Any information
exchanged between a victim and a victim counselor in private or in the presence of a third
party who is necessary to facilitate communication or further the counseling process and which
is disclosed in the course of the counselor's treatment of the victim for any emotional or
psychological condition resulting from a sexual assault or family violence. (2) VICTIM. A
person who consults a victim counselor for assistance in overcoming adverse emotional or psychological
effects of a sexual assault or family violence. (3) SEXUAL ASSAULT. Any sexual offense enumerated
in Sections 13A-6-60 through 13A-6-70. (4) FAMILY VIOLENCE. The occurrence of one or more

Section 32-5A-191 (Effective until July 1, 2023) Driving while under influence of alcohol,
controlled substances, etc. (a) A person shall not drive or be in actual physical control
of any vehicle while: (1) There is 0.08 percent or more by weight of alcohol in his or her
blood; (2) Under the influence of alcohol; (3) Under the influence of a controlled substance
to a degree which renders him or her incapable of safely driving; (4) Under the combined influence
of alcohol and a controlled substance to a degree which renders him or her incapable of safely
driving; or (5) Under the influence of any substance which impairs the mental or physical
faculties of such person to a degree which renders him or her incapable of safely driving.
(b) A person who is under the age of 21 years shall not drive or be in actual physical control

of any human, and the owner of the dog had prior knowledge of the dangerous propensities of
the dog yet demonstrated a reckless disregard of the propensities under the circumstances,
the owner of the dog shall be guilty of a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of not more than
three hundred dollars ($300) for the first offense and, for a second or subsequent offense,
punishable by a fine of not more than six hundred dollars ($600). In addition, the dog shall
be immediately confiscated by an animal control authority, held for 10 business days
after the owner is given written notification, and thereafter destroyed in an expeditious
and humane manner. This 10-day period shall allow the owner to request a due process hearing.
The owner shall be responsible for payment of all boarding costs and other fees as may be

Section 38-9-8 Reports by physicians, etc., of physical, sexual, or emotional abuse, neglect,
