Section 16-28-15 Absence must be explained. Every parent, guardian, or other person having
control or charge of any child required to attend public school, private school, or church
school, shall as soon as practical explain the cause of any absence of the child under his
control or charge which was without permission of the teacher, and a failure to furnish such
explanation shall be admissible as evidence of such child being a truant with the consent
and connivance of the person in control or charge of said child, unless such person can show
to the reasonable satisfaction of the court that he had no knowledge of such absence and that

Section 30-3-135 Visitation by parent who committed violence. (a) A court may award visitation
by a parent who committed domestic or family violence only if the court finds that adequate
provision for the safety of the child and the parent who is a victim of domestic or family
violence can be made. (b) In a visitation order, a court may take any of the following actions:
(1) Order an exchange of the child to occur in a protected setting. (2) Order visitation supervised

Section 12-15-210 Notification to children of right to counsel; appointment of counsel by juvenile
court. (a) In delinquency and child in need of supervision cases, a child and his or her parent,
legal guardian, or legal custodian shall be advised by the juvenile court or its representative
at intake that the child has the right to be represented at all stages of the proceedings

Section 30-3B-311 Warrant to take physical custody of child. (a) Upon the filing of a petition
seeking enforcement of a child custody determination, the petitioner may file a verified application
for the issuance of a warrant to take physical custody of the child if the child is imminently
likely to suffer serious physical harm or be removed from this state. (b) If the court, upon
