Section 34-24-381 Penalties for violation of Section 34-24-360, rules, or regulations. (a) In addition to any other penalty authorized by Section 34-24-361 (h) the Medical Licensure Commission may in its discretion assess administrative fines not to exceed ten thousand dollars ($10,000) for each violation of any of the provisions of Section 34-24-360 or any rule or regulation duly promulgated by the commission. The Medical Licensure Commission may also in its discretion issue public or private reprimands, public or private censures, and may impose involuntary restrictions upon the certificate of qualification and/or license to practice medicine of any physician or osteopath for each violation of any of the provisions of Section 34-24-360. Section 15-19-6 Disposition upon adjudication. (a) If a person is adjudged a youthful offender and the underlying charge is a felony, the court shall: (1) Suspend the imposition or execution of sentence with or without probation; (2) Place the defendant on probation for a period not to exceed three years; (3) Impose a fine as provided by law for the offense with or without probation or commitment; (4) Commit the defendant to the custody of the Board of Corrections for a term of three years or a lesser term. Section 45-44-244.38 Penalties. (a) All fees imposed by this subpart which are delinquent shall bear interest at the rate of 10 percent per annum, and any person who has failed to pay the fees when they became due shall be charged a penalty of five percent of the amount of the unpaid fees. Any person or employer who fails or refuses to withhold any fees payable under this subpart, or who fails to pay those fees after withholding them, shall be liable to the county for those fees, as well as for the interest thereon at the rate of 10 percent per annum. (a) Any person or entity, including the board or its staff, may file a complaint alleging a violation of this chapter against any individual licensee, certified intern, or firm holding a certificate of authorization or against an unlicensed individual or firm.
