Section 4-4-1 Definitions. When used in this chapter, unless the context plainly indicates otherwise, the present tense shall include the future tense and the following words and phrases shall have the meanings respectively ascribed to them by this section: (1) AIRCRAFT. Any contrivance now known or hereafter invented, used or designed for navigation of or flight in the air, except a parachute or other contrivance designed for use primarily as safety equipment. (2) CIVIL AIRCRAFT. Any aircraft, other than a military aircraft of the United States or of a state, territory or possession of the United States. (3) OPERATING AIRCRAFT. Performing the services of an aircraft pilot. (4) STATE. The State of Alabama. (5) MUNICIPALITY. Any county, city, town or incorporated village of the State of Alabama. (6) MUNICIPAL AIRPORT. (a) A person commits the crime of possession of a gambling device if with knowledge of the character thereof he manufactures, sells, transports, places or possesses, or conducts or negotiates any transaction affecting or designed to affect ownership, custody or use of: (1) A slot machine; or (2) Any other gambling device, with the intention that it be used in the advancement of unlawful gambling activity. Section 13A-8-11 Unauthorized use of vehicle; unlawful breaking and entering a vehicle. Section 9-3-19 Donation of fire control property. (a) As used in this section, the term "fire control or fire rescue equipment" includes, but is not limited to, a motor vehicle, fire fighting tools, protective gear, breathing equipment, and other vehicles, supplies, and tools used in fire fighting or fire rescue. (b) Any person, corporation, partnership, association, or governmental entity may donate or give away used or obsolete fire control or fire rescue equipment to the Alabama Forestry Commission for its use or for distribution to certified volunteer fire departments. Section 26-23E-3 Definitions. As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the following meanings: (1) ABORTION. The use or prescription of any instrument, medicine, drug, or any other substance or device with the intent to terminate the pregnancy of a woman known to be pregnant with knowledge that the termination by those means will with reasonable likelihood cause the death of the unborn child.
