Section 15-23-5 Alabama Crime Victims Compensation Commission - Powers and duties. The commission
shall have all the powers and privileges of a corporation and all of its business shall be
transacted in the name of the commission. In addition to any other powers and duties specified
elsewhere in this article, the commission shall have the power to: (1) Regulate its own procedures
except as otherwise provided in this chapter. (2) Define any term not defined in this article.
(3) Prescribe forms necessary to carry out the purposes of this article. (4) Obtain access
to investigative reports made by law enforcement officers or law enforcement agencies which

SESSION, EFFECTIVE MARCH 15, 2018. THIS IS NOT IN THE CURRENT CODE SUPPLEMENT. (a) An owner
of a dangerous dog who violates this part shall be guilty of a misdemeanor punishable by a
fine of not more than three hundred dollars ($300) for the first offense and not more than
six hundred dollars ($600) for each subsequent offense. Additionally, for each offense, the
owner of a dangerous dog who violates this part shall pay an administrative fine of one hundred
fifty dollars ($150) to be collected by the Chilton County Circuit Clerk. The fine shall be
forwarded by the circuit clerk to the Chilton County Commission to be deposited into the General
Fund of Chilton County to be used as a first priority to carry out the purposes of this part.

Section 15-23-21 Penalties - Furnishing false information; failure to disclose material fact,
etc. (a) Any person who shall knowingly furnish any false information to the Alabama Crime
Victims Compensation Commission or to any member, agent or employee thereof with the intent

Section 15-23-19 Penalties - Failure of commission member to disclose conflict of interest.
(a) A member, agent or employee of the Alabama Crime Victims Compensation Commission commits
the crime of failing to disclose a conflict of interest if such member, agent or employee
exercises any discretionary function in connection with a commission contract, purchase, payment
or other pecuniary transaction pertaining to the commission without advance public disclosure
of a known potential conflicting interest in the transaction. (b) A "potential conflicting
interest" exists, but is not limited to, when the member, agent or employee of the commission
is a director, president, general manager or similar executive officer, or owns directly or
indirectly a substantial portion of any nongovernmental entity participating in the transaction.
