Section 31-13-3 Definitions. For the purposes of this chapter, the following words shall have
the following meanings: (1) ALIEN. Any person who is not a citizen or national of the United
States, as described in 8 U.S.C. ยง 1101, et seq., and any amendments thereto. (2) BUSINESS
ENTITY. Any person or group of persons employing one or more persons performing or engaging
in any activity, enterprise, profession, or occupation for gain, benefit, advantage, or livelihood,
whether for profit or not for profit. Business entity shall include, but not be limited to,
the following: a. Self-employed individuals, business entities filing articles of incorporation,
partnerships, limited partnerships, limited liability companies, foreign corporations, foreign
limited partnerships, foreign limited liability companies authorized to transact business
in this state, business trusts, and any business entity that registers with the Secretary

Section 34-11-11 Disciplinary action. (a) The board may reprimand, censure, suspend, revoke,
place on probation, recover costs, or fine any licensee or certified engineer intern or land
surveyor intern or firm holding a certificate of authorization or refuse to issue, renew,

Section 33-5-75 Authority of Commissioner of Conservation and Natural Resources to cancel certification
or to suspend or revoke privilege of operating vessel; procedures. (a) The Commissioner of
Conservation and Natural Resources may cancel any boater safety certification upon determining
that the holder of the certification was not entitled to the issuance or that the holder failed
to give the correct or required information in the application for certification. Upon cancellation

Section 34-14C-6 Denial, suspension, or revocation of license; hearing; notice, penalties;
appeal. (a) The board may deny, suspend, or revoke a license as provided in this section.

Section 17-4-3 County board of registrars to purge disqualified electors. (a) Each county board
of registrars shall purge the computerized statewide voter registration list on a continuous
basis, whenever it receives and confirms information that a person registered to vote in that
county has died, become a nonresident of the state or county, been declared mentally incompetent,
been convicted of any offense designated pursuant to Section 17-3-30.1 as a felony involving
moral turpitude for the purposes of Article VIII of the Constitution of Alabama of 1901 since
being registered, or otherwise become disqualified as an elector. Except as provided below,

Section 14-9-41 Computation of incentive time deductions. (a) Each prisoner who shall hereafter
be convicted of any offense against the laws of the State of Alabama and is confined, in execution
of the judgment or sentence upon any conviction, in the penitentiary or at hard labor for

Section 15-20A-37 Failure to register; absconding. (a) When a sex offender declares, and the
county is notified that a sex offender intends to reside, maintain employment or a volunteer
position, or attend school in the county and the sex offender fails to appear for registration,

Section 34-43-15 Complaints; grounds for suspension; revocation, etc., of license; penalties;
rulemaking authority. (a) Any person may file with the board a written and signed complaint
regarding an allegation of impropriety by a licensee, establishment, or person. Complaints
