Section 8-20-5 Limitations on cancellations, modifications, terminations, and nonrenewals of franchise relationships. (a) Notwithstanding the terms, provisions, or conditions of any agreement or franchise or notwithstanding the terms or provisions of any waiver, no manufacturer shall cancel, terminate, modify, fail to renew, or refuse to continue any franchise relationship with a licensed new motor vehicle dealer unless the manufacturer has: (1) Satisfied the notice requirement of this section. (2) Acted in good faith as defined in this chapter. (3) Has good cause for the cancellation, termination, modification, nonrenewal, or noncontinuance. Section 15-13-160 Qualifications - Professional bail companies. No professional bail company shall execute or become surety on any appearance bond in this state, unless it has an order granting authorization to become professional surety on any bail. The order granting authorization shall be reissued annually prior to January 1 of each year by the presiding circuit judge of the county in which the company desires to execute bail or appearance bonds. Section 45-37A-51.07 Retirement allowance and survivor's allowance. (a)(1) The words, terms, and phrases of this section shall have the meaning ascribed to them by Act 929, unless it appears from the context that a different meaning is intended. Section 32-5A-191.4 Ignition interlock devices. (a) As used in Section 32-5A-191, the term, "ignition interlock device" means a constant monitoring device that prevents a motor vehicle from being started at any time without first determining the equivalent blood alcohol level of the operator through the taking of a breath sample for testing. The system shall be calibrated so that the motor vehicle may not be started if the blood alcohol level of the operator, as measured by the test, reaches a blood alcohol concentration level of 0.02. (b) The ignition interlock device shall be installed, calibrated, and monitored directly by trained technicians who shall train the offender for whom the device is being installed in the proper use of the device. Section 40-17-350 Transportation of motor fuel; inspections. (a) Each person operating a refinery or terminal in Alabama shall prepare and provide to the driver of every highway vehicle receiving motor fuel at the facility a shipping document setting out on its face the destination state as represented to the terminal operator by the shipper or the shipper's agent. Failure to comply with this subsection may result in a department imposed penalty of not less than five hundred dollars ($500) nor more than one thousand dollars ($1,000), to be multiplied by the sum of the current violation plus prior violations of this subsection. (b) Every person transporting motor fuel in Alabama in a highway vehicle other than in its supply tank shall carry on board a shipping document issued by the facility where the motor fuel was obtained.
