Section 45-37-121.20 Reduction in force. Whenever it is necessary because of lack of work,
lack of funds, or whenever it is advisable in the interest of economy to reduce the staff
of any department or agency of the counties, or any municipality affected by this part, the
appointing authorities shall lay off employees according to the procedure set forth in this
part and the rules and regulations prescribed thereunder. The duties performed by the employee
or employees so laid off may be assigned to any other permanent civil service employee or
employees in the department or office, who, in the opinion of the director of personnel, are
qualified to perform such duties regardless of the specific classification or grade to which

Section 45-49-120.29 Expenses. The salaries and expenses of suitable regular office quarters,
and all other expenses of the personnel board, the personnel director, and all other expenses
arising under the provisions hereof, unless otherwise herein provided, shall be paid by warrants
or requisitions drawn on funds of the personnel board and signed by at least two members thereof.

Section 31-13-32 Report to Alabama Department of Homeland Security. (a) The Administrative
Office of Courts shall submit a quarterly report, organized by county, to the Alabama Department
of Homeland Security summarizing the number of cases in which an unlawfully present alien
was detained by law enforcement and appeared in court for any violation of state law and shall
include all of the following information in the report: (1) The name of the unlawfully present
alien. (2) The violation or charge alleged to have been committed by the unlawfully present
alien. (3) The name of the judge presiding over the case. (4) The final disposition of the
case, including whether the unlawfully present alien was released from custody, remained in
detention, or was transferred to the custody of the appropriate federal immigration authorities.
