Section 12-5-14 Employment of consultants by Chief Justice and Administrative Director
of Courts. In connection with the functions of conducting studies and projects pertaining
to improvements in the administration of justice, the improvement of courts in Alabama and
continuing legal and judicial education, the Chief Justice or the Administrative Director
of Courts is authorized and empowered to employ consultants and consultant firms in connection
therewith and to contract with the same for their services at such compensation and for such
time as he determines to be advisable. Such contracts with such consultants or consultant

Section 40-2B-2 Alabama Tax Tribunal. (a) Statement of Purpose. To increase public confidence
in the fairness of the state tax system, the state shall provide an independent agency with
tax expertise to resolve disputes between the Department of Revenue and taxpayers, prior to
requiring the payment of the amounts in issue or the posting of a bond, but after the taxpayer
has had a full opportunity to attempt settlement with the Department of Revenue based, among

Section 44-2-10 Text of compact. The Interstate Compact for Juveniles is enacted into
law and entered into with all jurisdictions mutually adopting the compact in the form substantially
as follows: THE INTERSTATE COMPACT FOR JUVENILES Article I. Purpose. The compacting states

approved, adopted and enacted into law by the State of Alabama: Multistate Tax Compact Article
