Section 45-37-249.02 Definitions. (a) As used in this part, the following words, terms, and phrases shall have the following respective meanings except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning: (1) ACT 405. Act 405 of the 1967 Regular Session of the Legislature (Acts 1967, p. 1021), as amended. (2) AVERAGE DAILY MEMBERSHIP. The meaning ascribed in Section 16-13-232. (3) COMMITTEE. (a) There is created a study commission to evaluate the feasibility and effectiveness of transferring to state employee status the juvenile probation officers and staff in counties having a population of more than 99,000 according to the 1990 federal decennial census. (a) For the purpose of this section, the term economic tax incentive shall mean any tax credits, deductions, exemptions, abatements, preferential rates, or rebates given as an economic incentive.
