Section 45-37A-41 Removal or demolition of unsafe structures. (a) The City of Bessemer shall have authority, after notice as provided herein, to move or demolish buildings and structures, or parts of buildings and structures, party walls, and foundations when the same are found by the governing body of the city to be unsafe to the extent of being a public nuisance from any cause. (b) The term appropriate city official as used in this section shall mean any city official or city employee designated by the mayor or other chief executive officer of such city as the person to exercise the authority and perform the duties delegated by this section to appropriate city official. Section 11-53B-10 Redemption of property. (a) Any real property heretofore or hereafter sold for the satisfaction of an assessment lien imposed thereon by the governing body of a municipality may be redeemed by the former owner, or his or her assigns, or other persons authorized to redeem property sold for taxes by the state, within two years from the date of the sale by depositing with the officer designated by the municipality to collect the assessments the amount of money for which the lands were sold, with interest thereon at the rate of 12 percent per annum from the date of the sale through the date of the payment. (a) A governing body shall proceed under this chapter as a participant in the public corporation or individually, to adopt upon reasonable public notice and following public hearing all necessary rules and regulations by resolution or ordinance to implement this chapter and to specifically regulate and control storm water discharges and eliminate the discharge of pollutants to its municipal separate storm sewers. Section 32-5A-195 Cancellation, suspension, or revocation of driver's license; grounds, procedure, etc. (a) The Secretary of the Alabama State Law Enforcement Agency is authorized to cancel any driver's license upon determining that the licensee was not entitled to the issuance thereof or that the licensee failed to give the correct or required information in his or her application.
