Section 12-17-277 Fee for court reporter taxed as costs in cases utilizing reporter. In all cases reported by an official court reporter or special reporter, there shall be taxed, as part of the costs of the case, a fee of $5.00 for each day or fraction thereof that such reporter shall be engaged in reporting a case, to be collected as costs as in other cases and, when collected, paid by the clerk of the court into the county treasury of the county in which the case is tried.
