Section 11-40-32 Hearing; appeal. (a) Within the time specified in the notice, but not more than 30 days from the date the notice is given, any person, firm, or corporation having an interest in the building or structure may file a written request for a hearing before the governing body of the municipality, together with his or her objections to the finding by the municipal official that the building or structure is unsafe to the extent of becoming a public nuisance. Section 16-27A-7 Contesting a notice of violation; adjudication. (a) No person shall be responsible for payment of a civil fine for a notice of violation issued under this chapter if the operator of the vehicle that is the subject of the notice of violation is adjudicated to have not committed a violation or there is otherwise a lawful determination that no civil penalty may be imposed. Section 45-18-81.27 Costs and fees. (a) An applicant may be assessed a fee when the applicant is approved for the program. The amount of the assessment for participation in the program shall be in addition to any court costs and assessments for victims or drug, alcohol, or anger management treatment required by law, and are in addition to costs of supervision, treatment, and restitution for which the person may be responsible.
