Section 27-44-8 Powers and duties of association. (a) If a member insurer is an impaired insurer, the association may, in its discretion and subject to any conditions imposed by the association that do not impair the contractual obligations of the impaired insurer, and that are approved by the commissioner: (1) Guarantee or reinsure, or cause to be guaranteed, assumed, or reinsured, any or all of the covered policies of the impaired insurers. (2) Provide such moneys, pledges, notes, guarantees, or other means as are proper to effectuate subdivision (1), and assure payment of the contractual obligations of the impaired insurer pending action under subdivision (1). Section 25-4-54 Contribution rates for employers subject to benefit charges; determination of individual benefit charges. (a) Determination of contribution rates. (1) For the 12-month period beginning on January 1 of each year which begins after December 31, 1996, any employer whose experience rating account has been subject to benefit charges throughout at least the fiscal year, as defined in Section 25-4-4, immediately preceding such January 1, shall have his or her rate determined by the Unemployment Compensation Fund's liability for benefits paid to his or her employees, modified by the fund's balance as of the most recent June 30. Section 5-5A-44 Acquisition of majority of voting shares of a bank; procedure. (a) No person, acting directly or indirectly or through or in concert with one or more persons, may acquire control of a state bank or of any corporation or other entity having control of a state bank, unless an application is filed with the superintendent for review of the proposed transaction and for his or her action, if any, as provided in this section. Section 11-65-20 Terms of operator's license. (a) An operator's license issued under this chapter, whether for horse racing and pari-mutuel wagering thereon or for greyhound racing and pari-mutuel wagering thereon, shall be for an initial period of 20 years, but shall be subject to renewal as provided in this section.
