Section 45-45-80.40 Expense allowance. (a) In Madison County, in addition to any and all other compensation, salary, and expense allowances provided for by law, there shall be paid to each member of the jury commission an expense allowance in such an amount as, together with any amount paid by the state, as salary, compensation, or expense allowance, shall make the total paid to such members equal to twenty-five dollars ($25) per day. If the amount paid to such members as compensation or expense allowance by the state increases in the future, then the amount paid by the county under this section shall automatically decrease. Section 36-27-16.1 Cancellation of survivor allowance. (a) Any member of the Teachers' Retirement System of Alabama or the Employees' Retirement System of Alabama who is retired and who has selected a survivor option may cancel the survivor allowance payable to his designated beneficiary.
