Section 12-17-68 Compensation. Each district judge shall be compensated by the state at a salary in the amount established by the judicial compensation commission or by the legislature pursuant to Constitutional Amendment No. 328; provided, that district judges serving one county, in those counties in which county courts, general sessions courts and other courts of inferior jurisdiction, except municipal courts, exist on January 16, 1977, shall each receive a supplemental salary from the general fund of such counties in an amount sufficient to maintain their total salaries at the same relationship which the salaries of the judges of said courts of inferior jurisdiction bear on January 16, 1977, to salaries of circuit judges in their respective counties. Section 45-29-80 Supplemental salaries of circuit judges and district attorney. The governing bodies of the counties composing the Twenty-fourth Judicial Circuit are hereby authorized, empowered, and directed to pay to each circuit judge and the district attorney of such circuit a supplemental salary in the amount of 15 percent of their respective compensation paid by the state. (b) Any person who has been committed to the county jail in Colbert County under a criminal sentence imposed by the Circuit or District Court of Colbert County, and who has been released on a suspended sentence shall report to the probation office of Colbert County. (a) The Court of County Commission of Chambers County is hereby abolished, and there is created in lieu thereof the Chambers County Commission, to be composed of five commissioners as hereinafter provided.
