Section 45-32-82 Local salary supplement. (a) The judge of the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit shall receive a local salary supplement in an amount to be determined under subsection (b). The local salary supplement provided by this section shall be in lieu of all local salary supplements and expense allowances provided the judge of the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit. (b)(1) The amount of the local salary supplement shall be determined as follows: a. Upon completion of six consecutive years of service as a district or circuit judge, a judge shall be eligible for a local salary supplement in an amount equal to 10 percent of the annual salary paid to a judge by the state. b. Section 45-2-82.42 County salary supplement - Circuit judges and district attorney. (a) It has come to the attention of the Legislature that the present compensation of the circuit judges and District Attorney for the Twenty-eighth Judicial Circuit is somewhat below the average of that being paid to circuit judges and district attorneys in other judicial circuits in this state which have considerably lighter caseloads than the Twenty-eighth Judicial Circuit.
