Section 44-2-10 Text of compact. The Interstate Compact for Juveniles is enacted into law and entered into with all jurisdictions mutually adopting the compact in the form substantially as follows: THE INTERSTATE COMPACT FOR JUVENILES Article I. Purpose. The compacting states to this interstate compact recognize that each state is responsible for the proper supervision or return of juveniles, delinquents and status offenders who are on probation or parole and who have absconded, escaped or run away from supervision and control and in so doing have endangered their own safety and the safety of others. The compacting states also recognize that each state is responsible for the safe return of juveniles who have run away from home and in doing so have left their state of residence. It is the intent of Act 2009-768 to effect the changes provided in criminal procedure, and concurrently, to reduce criminal conduct by promoting good citizenship education. Section 22-21A-5 Funding. (a) Each federal fiscal year, each member state shall have the right to federal monies up to an amount equal to its member state current year funding level for that federal fiscal year, funded by Congress as mandatory spending and not subject to annual appropriation, to support the exercise of member state authority under this compact. This funding shall not be conditional on any action of or regulation, policy, law, or rule being adopted by the member state. Upon the date of the adoption of a resolution of the Coffee County Commission declaring the implementation of the provisions of this section, a special recording fee of four dollars ($4) shall be collected by the Judge of Probate of Coffee County with respect to each real property instrument and each personal property instrument filed in the probate office. (a) In all juvenile, traffic, criminal, and quasi-criminal cases in the juvenile, district, circuit, and municipal courts in this state, a docket fee, hereinafter referred to as a solicitor's fee, shall be assessed in each case.
