(a) In every criminal case the jury shall be drawn, selected and empaneled as follows: Upon the trial by jury in the circuit courts of any person charged with a felony, including a capital felony, a misdemeanor, or violation, the court shall require a strike list or lists to be compiled from the names appearing on the master strike list as established in Section 12-16-74. (a) Whoever, having been released pursuant to this subpart, willfully fails to appear before any court or judicial officer as required, shall incur a forfeiture of any security which was given or was pledged for his or her release, and, in addition shall be guilty of a Class B misdemeanor. Such a person convicted of such misdemeanor shall be punished as provided for in the Alabama Criminal Code, or other applicable law.
