(a) The special services division of the district attorney's office may notify those individuals charged with violating Section 13A-9-13.1, by mail, that a warrant has been issued for the arrest of that individual and may (command) request that that individual appear and voluntarily surrender themselves to the special services division for arrest on the warrant.
